Cookie & Analytics Notice

How Mild Steps uses essential storage and public-page analytics.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

Mild Steps uses a small amount of browser storage so the app can work reliably. At this stage, we keep this practical and limited: storage should support the service, preferences, and reliability, not advertising or cross-site tracking.

Essential cookies and storage

Mild Steps may use cookies or similar browser storage for essential purposes, including:

  • Login and session security.
  • Basic app operation and installed-app behavior.
  • Remembering preferences such as language or app settings.
  • Keeping core account and security features working.

Optional analytics

Mild Steps may use Plausible-compatible, privacy-respecting analytics to understand public website traffic, conversion events, scroll depth, performance, and reliability. This analytics setup is cookieless and is not used for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking.

Analytics does not intentionally read private task, routine, idea, note, or planning content. We use analytics for aggregate site usage and reliability signals, not to sell your information or target ads from your planning content.

The measured events are limited to public-page usage and registration-flow health, such as CTA clicks, signup page views, signup form submits, signup success or error state, login page views, and scroll-depth milestones.

No advertising tracking

Mild Steps does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, remarketing, heatmaps, or session recording.

If this changes, this notice will be updated and consent will be requested where required before non-essential tracking scripts load.
